## Export workspace data

Export anything you may need before deleting content or a workspace. Glean Feed creates the file when you request it; the browser downloads it immediately, and Glean Feed does not keep a copy of the generated export.

1. Open **Settings > Data**.
2. In **Export**, open the download menu.
3. Choose the complete JSON bundle or one CSV dataset.
4. Confirm the file downloaded, then store it according to your organization's data policy.

The complete export contains boards and workflow statuses; tags; feedback requests, comments, private notes, votes, and relationships; roadmap items and linked requests; changelog entries, comments, reactions, tags, and relationships; and customer records needed to identify authors and participants.

CSV exports are intended for spreadsheet review. Glean Feed neutralizes formula-like customer text so spreadsheet software treats it as text. The activity log records recent export downloads and who requested them.

## Delete one category of content

<Warning>
  Content deletion is permanent. Export the workspace first. Deleting a category does not delete the
  workspace, and there is no undo.
</Warning>

Owners and admins can remove:

| Category | What is deleted | What remains |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------- |
| Comments | Feedback and changelog comments | The requests and changelog entries |
| Feedback posts | Requests, votes, comments, private notes, and linked relationships | The workspace and unrelated content |
| Roadmap items | Roadmap items and their feedback relationships | The original feedback requests |
| Changelog entries | Entries, comments, reactions, tag relationships, and feedback relationships | The workspace and unrelated content |

1. Open **Settings > Data** and find **Delete data**.
2. Select **Delete** beside the category.
3. Read the consequence shown in the confirmation dialog.
4. Type the exact confirmation phrase, such as `DELETE FEEDBACK`.
5. Confirm the deletion and wait until the page reports that the category was deleted.

Large deletions run in batches. Keep the page open while Glean Feed reports the deleted and remaining counts. When the process finishes, the category count is zero and the activity log contains the deletion.

## Delete a workspace

<Warning>
  Workspace deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes the workspace and its content, removes
  configured custom domains, and schedules active, trialing, and past-due subscriptions to cancel at
  the end of their current billing period. Only the workspace owner can do this.
</Warning>

Deleting a workspace is not the same as deleting your personal account. Export the workspace first, and confirm that the export opens before continuing.

1. Open **Settings > Data** as the workspace owner.
2. Select **Delete workspace**.
3. Type `DELETE` exactly.
4. Confirm **Delete workspace**.

After the deletion succeeds, Glean Feed signs you out and opens the signup page. The deleted workspace can no longer be opened.

## Delete your account

Account deletion permanently removes your sign-in account. It does not delete any workspace.

The deletion control appears on the onboarding screen after you no longer belong to a workspace. Leave workspaces owned by someone else. For every workspace you own, transfer ownership to another team member or delete the workspace first.

1. Leave the dashboard and open the account deletion control on the onboarding screen.
2. Select **Delete my account**.
3. Type your account email to confirm.
4. Confirm **Delete account**.

After deletion, Glean Feed signs you out and opens the login page with a deletion confirmation. Workspaces you left remain in place.
